Fiverr has gradually become the independent market I use the most.
What is Fiverr?
Fiverr is the original and still the most popular independent micro-services market in the world. It was created with the idea that everyone has talents, skills and services that you can sell for a low price of $ 5 (i.e. for a “quintet”).
It’s inspired a lot of people to try to sell online for the first time, and the site is full of a lot of projects (called Gigs) for creative, almost random things like “I’ll make a happy birthday video with a trumpet out of my mouth“Or”I’ll tell you when your ex will be back“.
As the site grew, Fiverr allowed sellers to raise their prices and offer Gig extras, as an extra charge for an urgent order. Partly as a result of these changes, a more professional type of salesperson has appeared on the site, offering business appearances that include computer programming tasks, marketing campaigns and more and more.
More recently, Fiverr Pro Launched, with “hand-picked quality professionals trusted by the world’s largest brands”. What this really means is that these sellers are tested by Fiverr, which gives them more credibility and allows them to charge higher rates for larger projects, similar to what you find in many other freelance markets online.
Although I do not find myself using professionals almost as much, I love having them around so I can use Fiverr as my standalone store regardless of project size.
Between the classic Fiverr sellers and the newer Fiverr Pro sellers, you can now find Gigs on Fiverr for almost any type of job-related service, and best of all, you can still achieve great and fast results without breaking the bank.
Since joining Fiverr a few years ago, I’ve spent a little over $ 200 on almost 30 different shows including:

How does Fiverr work?
First, sign up for Fiverr by clicking the Join button. You can create an account with an email address, or sign up faster with your Facebook or Gmail account:
Once you are inside, look for the type of work you need to do and start comparing impressions of different sellers.

You can start booking shows right away, but many sellers will prefer that you contact them first so they can judge if you two are suitable.
When you order a show, you will need to describe the work you need to do and sometimes upload attachments to help the seller give you the best possible results.
Once the seller starts, you will send a message back and forth as the seller provides repairs of the work so you can check.
Once you are satisfied with the update, you will verify that the show is complete, and then provide feedback on the seller.
How to use Fiverr for best results when ordering shows
1. Follow this strong strategy
Take advantage of the low rates in Fiverr by ordering the same work from multiple sellers at the same time.
For example, while rewriting a resume can easily cost over $ 200 elsewhere from a single provider, in Fiverr you can split that budget and spend it on 4-5 different resume writers working separately at the same time, perhaps with slightly different requirements, such as resume matching Your life to different companies to apply to.

One of the benefits of this smart strategy is that you may get insights from one seller that you can turn around and offer to another.
2. The most important rankings for sellers
Well, sort of: sellers actually most care about making money, but the key to them doing that on Fiverr is good rankings.
High rankings help sellers’ impressions rank better in Fiverr’s search results and allow sellers to unlock new features in Fiverr, both of which make it easier to earn more.
It affects performances in a number of ways.
For example, many sellers will insist on contacting before ordering because they only want to work on projects that they know they can complete well for a good rating.
Another way is that in the middle of the show, if a seller feels he can not finish the job on time or to your satisfaction, he may ask you to agree to cancel and return the show booking, as opposed to being late (which Fiverr indicates) or risking a low rating and negative feedback from you.
3. Be available to sellers during work
If a salesperson feels he can not finish work on time, it is not always his fault. Too often, this is because the buyer (you) takes too long to respond to the seller’s questions or check the latest work update from the seller.
Plan to be available when the seller is online to work on the project. If you have a smartphone, download the Fiverr app and leave messages available at least when you have orders at work.
4. Check sellers before ordering
Even if a seller does not ask to be contacted before ordering, do so nonetheless to test the communication skills and response time promised to him.
If their appearance does not indicate, ask what types of information they will need from you, in what format and in what format results can be provided. You can also ask for examples of previous work, especially if the seller does not have much feedback you can read.
5. Review the sellers’ reviews before ordering
Read the feedback the seller has already received from previous buyers, and see how the seller has responded (or not). Good sellers will always respond.
If it’s too generic and repetitive, the reviews may be fake and may even have been purchased from other Fiverr sellers (though Fiverr tries to avoid this), in which case you should switch to another seller.
Sometimes, a buyer will leave a complaint or other negative feedback. A good seller will be able to respond politely in a way that shows the problem was more with the buyer, if that was really the case.
If there is still no feedback for the show you are interested in, check to see if the seller has another show available that may have received feedback.
6. Attention to detail

Similarly, it’s never a good sign to see a Fiverr appearance with spelling or grammar errors.
And it should really bother you if the performance in question is intended for proofreading or writing of any kind. Be smart!
7. Signs of good performance
Aside from correct spelling and grammar, and of course, high ratings, other signs of a good performance are:
- Performance reviews that include presentations, videos, or photos of previous work
- Frequently Asked Questions.
- Fast delivery times, ideally no more than 1-2 days
- Average response time which is less than 6 hours
- Last delivery in the last 7 days
- Some orders in line (but not too many)
8. The country of the seller may be important … or not
As long as the seller’s gig meets all the other success criteria mentioned above, the seller’s country is important only in a few situations.
If the seller is in a remote time area of your own, it may be difficult to be available online while he is working on your order.
If the job you need is very specific to your geographic location or local culture, a foreign seller may not have the necessary local knowledge. For example, an American resume will differ from a British resume in a number of ways. That does not mean you should avoid writing a resume from Australia, but if their appearance appeals to you, ask in advance if they can handle your needs.
9. When to avoid high-ranking sellers
It’s always tempting to target high-ranking sellers like the one on the right.
Their thumbnail is appealing, they have great rankings and Fiverr will rank them higher in the search results, but their popularity may come at a price, and I do not mean that their rates will be higher (although they usually will be).
If you check their impressions, they will often have a lot of “queue orders,” meaning orders from other buyers waiting to be worked on. Your order will enter the queue, which means the seller will not be able to start your order right away.
Instead, look for newer sellers who have good ratings but have not yet placed many orders, or even brand new sellers who have excellent Gig descriptions. They will be cheaper, more eager to finish quickly because they are trying to build their ratings and reputation, and will have fewer orders in line so you are more likely to get your job done faster.
