2022 Happy! I know a lot of people have been affected by COVID over the course of the new year, like us, and you may not have gotten off to a rocket launch at your targets as you might have hoped.
Also, the reality is that many people, in addition to illness, are also dealing with economic, housing, even food, insecurity. Side appearances have helped many people stay afloat or finally catch up on some financial goals just to give up that extra income, and possibly even lose their main income when COVID hits them. In the midst of supply chain problems and manpower shortages due to mass resignations and absences, some companies were forced to make cuts.
Then there are those who have found themselves hospitalized who are now wondering how they will pay for their care. Bottom line, the impact of COVID on people is far beyond physical illness, and many are struggling financially right now. Many people are unable to hire a career coach to help them get back on track to take advantage of opportunities left open by others or created from sectors that have prospered despite or because of the epidemic.
In previous economic downtime, it was necessary to be competitive, as there were far more people than opportunities. True, the chances are much better today, but it does not change some people’s personal difficulties in finding a job. Today’s conventional job search still creates a cascade of negative, irritating and discouraging experiences that can leave some wondering what’s wrong with them and why companies can not just see that they have the potential to be great.
