Update

Lucky Cat is inspired by the kisses of 1930s Tokyo and the drinking dens of Shanghai. These nightclubs have become the playground of the urban youth looking for all things cool, new and cutting edge. Asian inspired small plates, robata grill dishes, sushi and sashimi are made in the open kitchen and the unique raw golf bar. Each dish is meant for sharing.

A little background

Gordon Ramsay is a world famous Michelin chef from the UK, and one of the biggest household names in the industry. He launched his restaurant “Lucky Cat” on June 24God’ 2019 and now it’s a ‘must be’ place in Mayfair for London’s A-listers.

the food

The food at Lucky Cat takes a twist on traditional Asian cuisine, while being refined in presentation and taste. If you are a fan of Asian food, there is definitely something for you. From sushi to fish, the finest cuts of meat, their menu is impressive and expensive. An example of this would be the egg fried rice, which carries a price tag of £20 per serving! We aimed to try different dishes on the menu, to give you a general sense of what is on offer at Lucky Cat. For starters, we chose a smoked bao brisket, served with yuzu mustard and pickled cucumbers as well as a salmon avocado roll. The breast was juicy and tender, but we felt that the mustard overpowered the meat a little. The salmon roll was just as you would expect with a great portion size and fresh taste.

For our main dishes we chose the tempura crab and the shiso; Whole grilled sea bream and beef sirloin of the rare variety. All three dishes were wonderfully different but equally mouth-watering. The fish fell off the bone, the beef melted in our mouths and the tempura was just the right amount of crispy without being greasy.

We agree that our standout dish was the whole bream for both of us. It seems to be grilled and seasoned to perfection. Paired with the (expensive) fried rice, it was the perfect combination.

location of the event

We went up the stairs and were greeted by the doorman. The loud music, darkness and spotlights made it look phenomenal. Inside, there was a large neon sign with the Lucky Cat logo, which was great for some photos. The staff was friendly and seated us right away. The layout of the restaurant was perfect for families, couples and groups. We were very comfortable in our big plush chairs; The Asian inspired design really lit up the room well, accompanied by authentic luxury decorations.

In conclusion

Overall, we had a fantastic time at Lucky Cat. We recommend it as a great place for business lunches and dinner for your executive family.
