The writing on the wall, and you stopped in your heart a long time ago. You do not know what your next step is. Well, I can help you get started, but then you’ll see, I believe in strategy all the way through.
Do not hop on the “Great Resignation” train.
Do not make a speech and leave. Unless, of course, you are being abused. In that case, know what you are taking with you. Know what you’re leaving behind. Count the costs and understand the loss.
Forget what your friends are doing. If you are jealous of their moves and feel disconnected, investigate. Real feelings but do not compare your path to their highway. I suggest a little more in this article on Fox Business.
Passion alone will not cut it. But do not just listen to me. Watch This conversation With Terry Trespicio, author of “Unfollow Your Passion”.

Instead, start with my six signs, and there are more, but you need to know and adopt your own:
1. When you realize that the role has changed to something you no longer enjoy, or that the value has disappeared. The elements and dynamics you once enjoyed are mundane or meaningless to you, your boss and the organization.
2. Rewarding self-satisfaction has requirements where you are currently doing things you do not want to do. At first, the pride of the work was the honeymoon phase, but the excitement was gone.
At first they noticed you and rewarded you, but now you have to fight to get recognition. You take it for granted, or your boss may be rewarded for your work and ideas. In any case, your motivation is waning. Giving more attention to your work may help, and she may need to document these successes and get to know them well. If that doesn’t work, use your accomplishments and results as a springboard to find another employer.
4. Working for a bad boss who treats you is often the worst situation anyone has experienced. Although the range of abuse is quite wide, some bosses go beyond their boundaries to where their stray paths become personal. Complaining or filing a lawsuit may be a mind-boggling option, or the easiest option is to find another job or simply resign due to a breach of honor.
5. Rumors about your position, your department, or you will be fired. If you ask your boss about it, he will most likely refuse to answer it (or lie to you). Because the rumor mill is unreliable, you need to start engaging your network for future options. Even if it does not happen this time, it may happen down the road. If you ignore job search until you hear rumors, you are likely to be light years behind in moving smoothly to the next job.
6. You have not received a salary increase for more than a year. Talking about it with your boss can be challenging because we are in an epidemic that has been economically turbulent, and inflation is rising. If you are thinking of asking, consider the signs that your company or boss may be transmitting directly or indirectly. Look for announcements of an increase in recruitment or a moratorium, increases or decreases in sales performance, or even layoffs. Scheduling is everything for pay raise requests, and it deserves serious consideration in determining your next moves.
A break is life-changing, but it must be empowering. Do not let someone else’s cause be yours.
