The suck of STUCK! — Rachel B. Garrett

Recently, in a client meeting I heard the same word repeated over and over.

This is one I hear often when it comes to career paths.

A word that drives people to seek me.

Let’s just get it out of our systems.

stuck. stuck. stuck. stuck. stuck.

There, you said it. Now, let’s talk about how you really feel. The sensations behind were stuck.

Frustrated that you haven’t figured out what you want to be when you grow up.

Angry that the situation you thought would fit, is not what it seems.

Shame you don’t feel as distant as your peers.

Inundated with options and tactics and opinions and oh so many horrible job descriptions.

Fear that the right thing is not there for you.

You may feel all of these things and yes, you may also feel stuck.

But that doesn’t mean you are.

People often use the word stuck when they still don’t have the answer.

When they are anxious to sit in uncertainty.

And yet, it’s okay to keep moving in the uncertainty and get out of your routine and experiment and take risks even when you don’t know the answers – May you find your answers.

It is moving forward.

Trust your intuition.

It is in the belief that you are on your way to understanding something. That maybe it won’t be perfect or the dream that is the most dreamy and the next step. But it’s worth a try if it matches your conditions and you feel that physical pull of energy towards that inevitability.

So, the next time you’re feeling the inertia—the bummer of being stuck—I invite you to use this stuck releaser:

I’m on my way.
I still don’t have the answers and that’s okay.
I trust my inner wisdom and I will find them.

As you allow yourself to feel the true feelings behind your inertia and start taking action without knowing the outcome, you practice self-confidence and build momentum toward your career goals.

Sending you energy and support and a way to rise from the stuck.
